  • Kick sadness in the balls!

Today was one of THOSE days. Ye’know..

    • You wake up several times in the middle of the night.
    • You almost sleep in.
    • It’s so funkin cold outside yet you didn’t put on a scarf because you “totally looked cooler” without it and now you punch yourself in the face for that.
    • You manage to sit at work for 6h and get almost nothing done.

.. and basically everything that could go wrong, went wrong.

In days like these you often feel like everything is your fault and maybe you just suck. Without any real reason. That’s pretty much how I’ve felt most of the day. And actually I kinda feel like this right now. Annoyed by every little thing. Got an ich on my cheek? I’ll get pissed off by that!! And it’s the weirdest thing because when I think about it, everything is just fine. No! Even great!! I’m not hungry. I’ve got a home. I’ve got some amazing friends. And when I start thinking about all the awesome things I have, it just kicks sadness in the balls. I don’t even care anymore that this blog post is written really aWkwArd-ly graMmaTicaLly. You just have to get that ball rolling and you feel that the power of positivity is much stronger that negativity.

Now when I step back and read this blog post again it just sounds like a poorly written pep talk. But I guess we’re all just trying to figure out this “life” thing a step at a time.

So, in a nutshell - if you’re pissed off or sad, just put on your favorite track and start counting friends. And by the time you’ve counted even just one, you’ll already feel like you’ve got everything you’ll ever need.
